Deborah invests in Hope & Ivy
Beth Chilton and Sarah Sleightholm are two experienced professionals in the fashion business who received investment from Deborah and Peter to help build their womenswear brand Hope & Ivy.
Hope & Ivy is a contemporary British fashion brand epitomised by beautiful embroidery and hand-drawn prints and the pieces exude confidence and femininity with a bohemian edge. Beth and Sarah’s friendship was formed over a mutual love of beautifully crafted dresses, delicate embroidery, rich textures and a shared desire to create amazing, must-have pieces that you can dance ‘til dawn in.With Sarah’s background of designing embroideries and prints for high-profile fashion clients and Beth’s experience of managing and producing fashion brands, they each bring their own unique perspective to Hope & Ivy.
The brand is available on Asos.com/ Zalando.com/ Namshi.com and many boutiques across the UK. Hope & Ivy are experiencing a really exciting time with web sales increasing as well as selling direct to customers.
Deborah's reason for investing
It's always interesting when Entrepreneurs come into the Den with a specific Dragon in mind and in this case Beth and Sarah clearly came in wanting an Investment from Touker for his Fashion Brands and manufacturing expertise. Fortunately for us they did not agree with Toukers view of the business and were impressive in holding their own under questions from him…demonstrating clarity of thought and a good knowledge of their target market. They had also turned over £500k in under a year from a standing start…which speaks volumes. I am delighted to say they received three offers of Investment but in the end chose to work with myself and Peter. They continue to grow from strength to strength.
